For generations, we were taught:

• Wanting more is selfish.

These beliefs shaped how we show up in the world. They dictated how we earned, spent, and received. But in this new era, we’re being invited to redefine wealth, not as something external, but as a natural state of expansion.

The Shift from Scarcity to Expansion

In a scarcity-driven world, more was seen as a competition, if you had more, someone else had less. This mindset created division, guilt, and resistance around wealth.

But what if we understood more differently?

What if more wasn’t about taking BUT about creating?

More love doesn’t mean less love for others. More creativity doesn’t mean less inspiration for someone else. More wealth doesn’t mean someone else goes without.

Expansion is a universal principle, it is the nature of existence. The universe itself is expanding. And so are you.

I adore moving my body through nature the trees, the river, the quiet hum of life reminding me I’m very much alive.

Let me tell you a story.

When we immigrated to the UK just four years ago, I said to myself: If I have to live in England, then it better be in a manor house.

I’m a huge Downton Abbey fan like, huge. Maybe I lived in that era in another lifetime, who knows? Either way, I could see it. Feel it. That grand, expansive, Downton-style life. I felt the frequency of it.

But reality? Reality had other plans.

Immigration came with huge costs. And our first home here was… tiny. I mean tiny.

The only reasons we took it were because I had locked into three specific frequencies:

1. A big garden

2. Must allow pets

3. Be close to the boys’ school

And boom, I got exactly that. The garden was glorious. The pets were welcome. The school was around the corner.

But the lack of living space? It almost drove me mad.

So I shifted. I began focusing again on what I truly desired in a home. Spaciousness. Light. Privacy. A home office. Big trees. Near water.

And like magic it appeared.

We moved into a gorgeous home that ticked those boxes. But still, it wasn’t the manor house. Not yet.

Then something aligned.

Two years into living in the UK, I met a client and visited her estate. And there it was, the house. A six-bedroom, six-bathroom dream home that matched the vision I’d been holding from the start.

It took another 18 months of holding that frequency, of choosing again and again to see my desired life as already real, but eventually… we moved in.

Here’s the truth: I didn’t get there by obsessing over the how. I got there by holding the frequency.

I set my energy to match what I wanted my life to look and feel like and reality caught up.

Finding Your Way Back to Your Natural Rhythm

Every creative person has a unique rhythm, a natural flow in which they are at their best, feeling energised, inspired, and productive. The challenge is that in our busy, fast-paced world, many of us lose touch with that rhythm. We get swept up in the need to meet deadlines, keep up with others, and constantly produce, often at the expense of our energy and creativity.

To truly thrive, you must reconnect with your unique natural flow. This means recognising when you’re most energised and when you need rest. It’s about working with, not against, the cycles of your creative energy. Creativity doesn’t thrive on forced effort, it flows naturally when you are in alignment with your true self.

Start by tuning into your own creative cycle. When are you most inspired? When do you find your best ideas? When do you need to step back and recharge? These rhythms might not align with conventional productivity schedules, and that’s okay. Your creative process is personal, and honoring it will bring you greater fulfillment and productivity than forcing yourself into a mold that doesn’t fit.

When you are aligned with your rhythm, you will find that ideas come more easily, work becomes more joyful, and the pressure to constantly grind diminishes. This is when your most authentic and impactful work comes to life.

Aligning Your Creative Energy with Financial Abundance

For many creatives, money is something we’ve been taught to fear or avoid. We may have inherited beliefs that money is scarce or that we must work endlessly to earn it. These limiting beliefs keep us stuck in a cycle of undercharging, overworking, and never fully receiving the financial rewards of our creative work.

But money, like creativity, is energy: it flows when we are open to it. And just as we honor our creative flow, we must learn to honor our financial flow. When we work in alignment with our creative energy, money can come naturally.

Here’s how you can begin this process:

1. Trust that your creative energy is valuable: The first step is owning your worth. When you align your work with your unique creative flow, you begin to see its true value. This is the foundation for setting better prices and attracting clients or customers who recognise and respect your work.
   
   

2. Align your business model with your natural rhythm: Instead of fitting your creative process into an existing business structure, create a model that supports your flow. This might mean adjusting how you deliver your work, when you work, and how you market your services. When you create a structure that supports your rhythm, you will find that attracting the right opportunities and clients becomes easier.
   

3. Believe that abundance is a natural extension of your creativity: Creativity is an abundant force, and when you are in alignment with it, financial success follows. Let go of the scarcity mindset. You are worthy of earning money for your work, and as you lean into your creative flow, you will begin to see that money is simply a tool to support your dreams.
   

When you align your work with your unique creative flow, you naturally increase your ability to attract and receive. The more you trust your rhythm, the easier it becomes to charge what you’re worth and attract the clients or opportunities that match your energy.

This is the essence of creating not just as a writer or creative, but as a business owner who knows how to balance passion with financial success. When you honor your natural rhythms (whether that’s through your creative process or your financial practices) you unlock the door to a more abundant, fulfilled life.

For many of us, under earning doesn’t show up as “struggling to get by.”

Underearning is when your income doesn’t reflect your energetic capacity, your value, or your creative power.

It’s when you know you’re capable of more, but your bank account keeps telling another story.

This might look like:

• Being the most talented person in the room, but still charging the least

• Getting client referrals but still afraid to raise your rates

• Creating exceptional work, yet pricing it based on what you think people can afford

• Avoiding big opportunities because your nervous system doesn’t feel safe expanding

And perhaps most painfully:
Still working from a place of survival instead of inspiration.

This is where many gifted creatives quietly stay stuck. Not because they lack skill. But because they haven’t yet reprogrammed their capacity to receive.

A Note from One Creative to Another

We know how easy it is to undervalue something that feels natural.

You write words. People say they’re “so you.”

You create magic on the page. And somehow, it feels like you shouldn’t charge well for something that comes easily.

But here’s the truth we’ve had to learn over and over again:
Your gifts are not less valuable because they feel natural.
They are valuable because they are natural.

When we overwork, we compromise our energy, our creativity, and our capacity to receive the abundance that’s waiting for us.

The Hidden Cost of Constant Hustle

This "work hard to make money" belief doesn’t just affect our productivity, it affects our entire energy field. When we are constantly in hustle mode, we drain ourselves, both physically and emotionally. The result? A burnout that directly impacts your creative output and financial returns.

Think about it: when your energy is depleted, you’re not in the flow state necessary for creativity or receiving. You’re disconnected from the natural abundance that money, like creativity, is meant to flow freely through. This hustle mentality is a form of energetic starvation, leaving us in a constant state of lack, not just in terms of money but in our overall well-being.

Shifting the Energy: Success Without the Grind

So, how do we break free from this cycle? It starts with awareness. Recognising that you don’t have to work yourself into exhaustion to succeed is the first step in transforming your relationship with money. Your creativity and energy are your most valuable assets, and they need to be nourished, not drained.

To shift out of the hustle mindset, ask yourself: What does success look like for me if I don’t have to hustle? What if I could create success while honouring my energy and creative flow? Imagine a life where you’re working in alignment with your natural rhythm, where success flows effortlessly because you’ve set the intention to receive instead of constantly pushing and striving.

The Path to Alignment and Success

Releasing the hustle mentality doesn’t mean you stop working, it means you work with intention. It means embracing the energy of ease and learning to work smarter, not harder. Here are a few practices to help you make this shift:

1. Reconnect with your energy: Every time you catch yourself slipping into “hustle mode,” pause and ask, "What is my mind telling me right now?" This small act of awareness creates a space to shift your energy and mindset.

2. Set boundaries: Start saying no to things that drain you. Create space for rest, relaxation, and activities that nourish your creativity. Remember, rest is just as important as work for maintaining a healthy flow of creativity and abundance.

3. Embrace self-trust: You are capable of receiving abundance without overworking. Trust that when you align with your purpose and your energy, the right opportunities will come to you.

4. Honor your natural rhythm: Whether you’re a Generator, Manifesting Generator, or another Human Design type, honor your unique energy flow. Work with your natural rhythms instead of against them. When you’re aligned, everything becomes easier, including money.

5. Gratitude and abundance: Practice gratitude daily, not just for what you’ve created, but for the financial resources already in your life. Gratitude opens the door to more, allowing you to step into the flow of abundance.

A New Way Forward

You don’t have to burn out to succeed. It’s time to release the old beliefs around hustling for success and money. Success can come with ease when you trust yourself and your creative process. When you start managing your energy, rather than depleting it, you open up space for the success and abundance that you truly deserve.

So, let go of the hustle. Start embracing your true creative flow, where work becomes aligned, energising, and filled with purpose. Your path to success doesn’t have to come at the cost of your well-being. In fact, the more you nurture your energy and creativity, the more abundance you’ll attract.
